What can I expect on my first visit?

From the moment you pull into the parking lot, you’ll be made to feel at home. We try to save the parking closest to the building for you, our special guest. As you enter the building, our greeters (folks with name tags) will be poised and ready to give directions or answer any questions you may have. If you have pre-school children (birth – pre-k), you’ll want to take advantage of our safe and secure children’s services designed just for them.

As you enter the church, our ushers will welcome you, hand you our information-filled weekend worship guide and direct you to your seat. Then, sit back, relax, and enjoy the service! Our prayer is that you will truly meet with God. Generally, our hour and a half services go quickly. From the moment you walk in the door, until the moment you leave, we are committed to a relevant, Biblical, compelling, challenging and life-changing presentation of God’s grace and truth.

What is a weekend service like?

During our services, we generally begin with a time of reflection and prayer, asking God to speak truth into our lives as a large group and as individuals. We will sing songs, welcome all who are attending, have a children’s message up front (the Children are then invited to leave the service to join our exciting Children’s Worship), we may sing more songs, have dramas, videos and other media, used to connect the message of the day to your life.

Our speaker, Teaching Pastor Eric Evje, will communicate in a way that speaks to today’s culture. Our messages are meant to be real and relevant, focusing on applying Christ’s teachings to our lives, so we each can experience God’s incredible purpose each and every day. You will not be entertained (even though it may seem like it), but you will be presented with the unapologetic truth from the Bible. At the end of the service, you will be given an opportunity to sing, respond, reflect, pray and worship. We hope you will come check us out.

Where do I take my children?

Pre-School is found in the connecting building to the sanctuary in St. Michael’s Academy. It is a relaxed, safe and amazing place that will captivate your child’s heart and imagination, from birth – pre-k. Your child will experience caring and loving people dedicated to bring God and His creation and love to life.

Your children, from K – 5 will join you in the Worship Center and then be at home in our Children’s Worship. Your girls and boys will experience church like never before. It is our desire to teach them about worshipping God in a way that impacts. It is designed for children, created to present God’s truth in fun and innovative ways. They won’t want to miss a single service.

Do you have something for students?

We sure do. If you’re a Jr. High or High School student, Living Hope Bryan is the place to be! On Saturday Nights, they are incorporated into our regular adult activities. However, we currently participate in Living Hope College Station’s Wednesday night activities.

College Students are a very important part of what we do here at Living Hope Bryan. It is our calling to equip, train and minister to them in a way that prepares them for life in the real world. We treat them as adults and involve them in inter-generational ministry in our studies and ministry. It works in an amazing way. God sees them as an adult, and we believe we are doing them a disservice by treating them any differently.

Do you have small groups?

Absolutely! Our weekly small groups that we call Community groups meet during the spring and fall semesters (a few meet year round) in the homes of married couples in our church. Every member is expected to be involved in one Community Group. We invite you to join us one evening as we take what we talked about on Sunday morning to a new depth by talking, praying, and fellowshipping in community.

How do I become a member?

With our emphasis on body-life and the importance of every member to what God is doing as He builds His Church, we have set up a required class that explains the vision and mission of Living Hope Bryan, seeking to ensure that our membership is all on the same page. In the class, Discover Membership, we share essentials of our faith, expectations and more about the exciting things God is doing at Living Hope. This class is Bi-Monthly following the morning worship service, one of our Elders shares his heart and key information to make sure you know why we do ministry the way we do. Feel free to show up even if you don’t sense a need to join.

What about Dual Membership?

If you want to stay connected with your home church and desire to connect with Living Hope Bryan too, GREAT! As long as we are in agreement on essential doctrine and your understanding that the Membership Agreement applies, then you can join Living Hope Bryan and stay connected back home. There is a box on our Membership Card that you check off stating you are joining by a statement of faith.
